Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Preschool Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as a versatile team member, providing essential support across multiple classrooms and age groups within our preschool environment. Your energetic presence will help ensure a smooth daily operation, foster a nurturing atmosphere, and promote positive developmental experiences for all children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, eager to collaborate with staff and families, and committed to creating an engaging learning environment for young learners. Responsibilities Assist in implementing curriculum activities aligned with developmental goals, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Support classroom teachers by managing daily routines such as snack time, circle time, and outdoor play. Provide attentive supervision and care for children across different age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and social skills development. Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson plans for children with diverse needs. Communicate effectively with parents and team members to ensure each child's individual needs are met and progress is shared. Skills Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education. Experience with classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and engagement. Knowledge of curriculum development focusing on literacy education, math skills, and Reggio or other educational philosophies. Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff and engage families positively. Proven experience in daycare or private school settings emphasizing childhood growth and behavior management strategies. Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms’ needs while maintaining a lively, supportive presence.
