As a key leader in our outdoor classroom setting, you will nurture curiosity, promote physical activity, and support holistic development for preschool-aged children. Duties Design and implement innovative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that integrate outdoor activities with core early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating outdoor learning environment that encourages exploration and hands-on discovery. Manage daily classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and child welfare practices to ensure a positive and nurturing atmosphere. Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Lead activities that promote physical health, environmental awareness, and respect for nature while supporting children’s emotional and social growth. Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math (including Montessori methods), physical education, and behavior management. Experience working with children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in classroom management tailored to young learners. Familiarity with teaching physical education outdoors and integrating environmental themes into daily lessons. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Previous private school or daycare experience is advantageous; certification in early childhood education or Montessori training is a plus.
