EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION PROGRAM JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS Preschool Teacher ( Master Teacher Preferred) Full-Time Position Location: North Highlands Preschool 3735 Stephen Drive, North Highlands, CA 95660 Hours: 8.0 hours per day Monday – Friday Salary (Pay depends on permit held): Master Teacher: $31.99 to $36.00/hr. (approximately $65,549 to $74,880 annually) * Teacher: $27.56 to $31.04/hr. (approximately $57,330 to $64,563.20 annually) * Starting pay is for this position is the beginning of the pay range. Plans in collaboration with the Center Supervisor and/or Master Teacher for the supervision and instruction of enrolled children. Responsible for supervision of an instructional assistant, or volunteer as assigned. May be designated as acting Center Supervisor when the center supervisor is absent for a day or more. Minimum Qualifications: Education: 24 units of early childhood education (ECE) or child development (child/human growth & development) units and 2 units adult supervision preferred. Credential: Current Teacher Child Development Permit, issued by California Teacher Credentialing; Master Teacher or higher Child Development Permit preferred. Experience: Minimum of one year as an Associate Teacher or Teacher in an ECE/CD or school-age center; Two years preferred. Certification: Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and Pediatric First Aid as well as Preventative Health, Safety and Nutrition. Other Requirements: Must have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record, a valid CA Driver License, Registered and Insured Vehicle. Fingerprint and criminal clearances required. Pre-employment physical, TB clearance, current measles and pertussis vaccines required.
