Job Description
Kindred Kids Early Learning is looking for a warm, dependable, patient, and engaging Preschool Teacher to join our growing childcare program. We are a modern home-based childcare program focused on creating a calm, structured, and nurturing environment for children while supporting busy families with flexible childcare needs. This is not a chaotic corporate daycare environment. We are building a smaller, more personalized program where teachers can genuinely connect with children, maintain structure, and enjoy what they do. We already have an established curriculum in place, so your role will focus on implementing daily learning activities, maintaining classroom structure, and helping children learn and grow in a positive environment. You will also work alongside additional support staff during the day to help with supervision and daily routines. We are looking for someone interested in finding a long-term fit and growing with our program as enrollment expands. Patience, emotional control, kindness, and professionalism are extremely important for this role. We are looking for someone who can remain calm under pressure, redirect behaviors appropriately, and create a safe and positive environment for children at all times. Kindred Kids has a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse, harsh discipline, inappropriate physical punishment, yelling at children, neglect, or any behavior that creates an unsafe or harmful environment. Responsibilities Lead preschool learning activities and circle time Implement our established curriculum Create a warm, engaging, and organized classroom environment Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development Supervise play, meals, and transitions Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization Communicate professionally with parents Work collaboratively with support staff throughout the day Requirements Experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, nanny, or childcare setting Dependable and punctual Strong communication and classroom management skills Patient, nurturing, calm, and emotionally mature Ability to redirect children appropriately without harsh discipline Comfortable working in a home-based childcare environment Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certification required or willingness to obtain Completion of Florida 45-Hour Child Care Training preferred (or currently in progress) Willingness to complete and submit Level 2 background screening requirements No prior history involving DCF findings related to child abuse, neglect, abandonment, or unsafe childcare practices Reliable transportation Additional Information As Kindred Kids Early Learning is currently a small and growing childcare program, this position does not currently include benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, or other corporate benefit packages at this time.
