The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the university, including its academic, research, healthcare, and land-grant enterprise. This role demands a distinguished scholar with a strong academic background, a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, and the ability to foster an environment that embraces academic freedom and innovation. The President will also be tasked with advancing the university's strategic goals, particularly in the areas of interdisciplinary collaboration, economic development, and scientific discovery.
