Job Description
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all . Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. Interface Pathfinding is where we explore what’s next in high‑speed connectivity. We design and test bold PHY ideas years before they reach products, working across circuits, signaling, packaging, and interconnects. We’re a small, senior team that values deep thinking, hands‑on work, and real silicon learning—and we move fast because the work matters! This role is a Principal Analog Design Engineer focused on mixed‑signal PHY clocking and high‑speed I/O. You’ll design original analog circuits that push performance limits and carry them all the way from concept to lab data. Your work will directly shape future interface architectures and influence how new ideas become trusted, product‑ready solutions. Responsibilities Design custom analog blocks with a primary focus on PLL, DLL, and clock recovery circuits Contribute to PHY‑level analog architecture and performance trade‑off decisions Build and run transistor‑level simulations including corner and mismatch analysis Partner with layout and digital teams to define clean mixed‑signal interfaces Support silicon bring‑up and correlate measurements to simulation results Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with MS or PhD strongly preferred 10+ years of analog or mixed‑signal IC design experience with primary tape‑out ownership Deep expertise in clocking circuits such as PLLs, DLLs, or CDRs in adva
