Principal Platform IaC Engineer 📍 Richardson, TX (Onsite with occasional travel) 💰 Salary: $190K – $207K Overview As a Principal Platform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer, you will lead the strategy, architecture, and implementation of modern IaC solutions supporting a hybrid-cloud enterprise environment. This environment underpins development and testing for a large-scale, mission-critical national program. You will operate as both a technical leader and hands-on engineer, driving platform modernization, automation, and scalability across infrastructure systems. Key Responsibilities Lead design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise IaC solutions Drive modernization initiatives across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments Architect and oversee CI/CD pipelines optimized for scalability and performance Lead containerization and orchestration efforts (Kubernetes/Docker) Guide automation strategy using Ansible, Terraform, and related tools Oversee integration of platforms including LDAP, RHEL, Consul, Tenable Establish best practices, governance, and baseline controls Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams Support complex troubleshooting and system optimization efforts Required Qualifications BS/BA in STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Physics) 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) Linux administration (RHEL) Cloud, containerization, and microservices CI/CD pipeline architecture Experience leading large-scale platform or infrastructure initiatives Agile experience (Scrum, SAFe) Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly (required day 1) U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Kubernetes platform architecture and deployments MBSE experience Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory) Programming (Python, Go, Java, Bash, etc.) Experience with enterprise-scale systems and hybrid cloud
