For a complete job description, please go to https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NfDSelDKg6Li5kpTC7FsZmnuO47075mw/viewBelow is a list of duties and responsibilities: -Administer and manage daily activities of the Rindge Memorial School (RMS).-Lead RMS through the school and District educational improvement efforts.-Interpret and enforce all School Board policies and administrative regulations affecting schooloperations.-Participate as a member of the administrative leadership team to help set district goals, policies andprocedures.-Work collaboratively with central office leadership to lead staff in the evaluation, development andimplementation of research-based best practice involving curriculum, instruction and assessment forlearning.-Supervise student attendance, counseling, child studies, assessment, standardized testing, and otherpupil services.-Establish and maintain an ideal learning climate at RMS.-Establish guidelines, structures and practices used to support students in taking responsibility for theirown behavior, and that promote a climate of respect and safety for all.-Conduct conferences with parents regarding school policies, discipline issues, student performance,student attendance, test scores and any other parental concerns.-Work with the District's Activities Director to ensure effective organization and supervision of RMSco-curricular programming.-Confer with various members of the SAU administrative staff regarding transportation, specialeducation, curriculum, pupil services, etc.-Recruit for school staff; interview and recommend qualified candidates to the Superintendent.-Oversee supervision and evaluation of all professional staff, instructional associates, administrativestaff, and support personnel. Recommend to the Superintendent the reappointment or removal ofemployees in accordance with established procedures.-Work collaboratively with the central office and school staff to identify, develop and provide in-serviceprograms and professional development for personnel.-Conduct staff meetings on a regular basis for proper functioning of RMS.-Work collaboratively with the central office and school staff to develop and implement a masterschedule for each school that promotes efficient and effective delivery of service to students and thebest utilization of staff.-Prepare and administer budgets; supervise the financial operation of RMS.-Provide ongoing communication to parents and staff.-Attend and participate in evening and weekend school-sponsored activities, athletic events, and specialmeetings.-Responsible for the safety and administration of school buildings and surrounding properties.-Plan and supervise emergency preparedness programs for RMS.-Act as liaison between the RMS, general public, and local community groups to foster understandingand solicit support for overall school objectives and programs.-Prepare or supervise preparation of all required building reports and records.-Present a variety of reports at school board meetings.-Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.-Utilize a variety of data sources to make informed decisions for enhancing student/employee/programperformance.-Work in a collegial and collaborative manner with other administrators, school personnel and thecommunity to promote and support the District mission.-Work on various other tasks, duties, and projects as assigned by the Superintendent.
