A company is looking for a Principal Scientist to lead AI/ML research initiatives and drive innovation in specialized domains. Key Responsibilities Define research strategy and lead high-impact AI/ML initiatives across multiple product features Establish best practices and technical vision while mentoring scientists and engaging stakeholders Develop a deep understanding of customer problems and the data that informs them Required Qualifications PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field with equivalent industry experience 8+ years of hands-on experience in building production IR, NLP, ML, or GenAI systems Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver AI capabilities Deep expertise in RAG architectures, agentic frameworks, and evaluation methodologies Significant experience developing novel methods for complex professional domains such as medical, tax, or law
