About The Firm A private equity firm investing from committed funds, partnering with lower-middle market companies that provide mission-critical services, products, and technologies across defensible end markets. The firm takes a hands-on approach, working closely with management teams to drive growth and operational improvement. Position Description A growing private equity firm is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join its investment team. This individual will work in a small, collaborative, and fast-paced environment and will be involved across the full investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio company support. The Senior Associate will evaluate new investment opportunities and work closely with senior investment professionals, portfolio company executives, and operating partners. This role offers meaningful responsibility and exposure, including leadership on key workstreams during live transactions and hands-on involvement with portfolio companies focused on value creation initiatives. This is a full-time, in-office role. Responsibilities Participate in all aspects of the investment process, including investment thesis development, deal sourcing, financial analysis and modeling, management meetings, due diligence, negotiations, and ongoing portfolio company management Lead or support diligence efforts and execution of new transactions, with increased ownership and accountability typical of a Senior Associate Prepare and present investment analysis and transaction materials for internal investment committee discussions Work directly with portfolio company management teams to provide financial, operational, and strategic support, including improving systems, processes, and reporting Build, maintain, and analyze operating and financial models; manage ongoing financial reporting and analysis Assist in sourcing new investment opportunities through market research, outreach, investment thesis development, and preparation of investment memoranda and presentations Perform valuation analyses and assess financial performance, risks, and mitigants of prospective investments Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (business, finance, accounting, or economics helpful but not required) Typically 3-5+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated progression consistent with a Senior Associate profile Experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or private equity preferred Strong financial and analytical skills with high attention to detail Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a lean, fast-paced environment Experience working with management teams or external stakeholders to build or improve systems and processes is a plus Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter mentality Qualified Senior Associate candidates are encouraged to submit a resume and cover letter for consideration.
