Overview Oak River Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Practice Counselor (LPC, LMFT) to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, teen, couples, and adults. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on holistic mental health care, utilizing evidence-based practices and fostering client growth. The counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual, group, and family therapy sessions. As a therapist-owned and led practice, we understand the unique challenges and deep rewards of doing this work. Who We’re Looking For: Licensed or Associate-Level Clinicians: ALC, LMFTA, LPC, or LMFT Able to provide a minimum of 24 clinical hours per week for full-time Skilled in working with individuals, couples, or families Committed to inclusive, ethical, and high-quality care Eager to be part of a collaborative, heart-centered team Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Provide one-on-one therapy to clients managing a range of emotional, relational, or behavioral challenges Facilitate group therapy sessions in a safe and inclusive setting Offer case management services as needed to support clients’ treatment goals Deliver behavioral therapy tailored to client needs Provide crisis intervention services when appropriate Maintain timely, ethical, and accurate clinical documentation and coding Stay current with best practices through continued professional development Qualifications: Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field Licensed or Associate Licensed: LPC, ALC, LMFT, or LMFTA Experience working with individuals, couples, and families Strong clinical skills and ability to engage a diverse range of clients Excellent documentation, time management, and organizational skills Familiarity with insurance documentation and coding (a plus) A values-aligned approach that is holistic, evidence-based, and ethical A desire to be part of a growing, collaborative, and mission-driven private practice When Can You Start?
