Akkodis is seeking a Process Improvement Consultant role is a 3 to 6 Months Contract with a client located in Portland, OR . Pay Range: $40-$48/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Performance Improvement Consultant to support ambulatory access initiatives across a large academic healthcare system. In this role, you will provide leadership, coaching, and technical expertise to improve patient access, optimize capacity management, and drive enterprise level performance improvement strategies. This is a highly visible position working closely with senior leaders, physicians, and operational teams to advance strategic initiatives and improve access to care. What You’ll Do Lead Strategy Deployment Drive structured problem solving using A3 methodology and Lean principles across ambulatory care Partner with executive leadership to align performance improvement work with strategic goals Support development and execution of enterprise wide performance excellence initiatives Provide Expert Coaching and Consultation Serve as a trusted advisor on Lean and performance improvement methodologies Coach senior leaders, managers, and teams to implement and sustain improvement practices Support development of internal performance improvement staff and consultants Facilitate Complex Improvement Initiatives Lead large scale, high impact projects focused on improving access and operational performance Apply advanced Lean tools and change management techniques Establish standard work and management systems to ensure sustainability of improvements Deliver Training and Education Design and deliver training programs for leaders and teams Develop curriculum focused on patient access, performance improvement, and operational excellence Build internal capability across the organization through education and coaching Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, engineering, science, or a related field Relevant training in Lean, performance improvement, change management, or project management Experience Minimum 7 years of performance improvement experience OR 5 years of healthcare experience plus 3 years of leadership or performance improvement experience Hands on experience with Lean methodologies Experience facilitating training and coaching teams Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree Experience working with senior leadership at the system or service line level Healthcare setting experience strongly preferred Key Skills and Knowledge Strong facilitation and project management skills with proven success in Lean initiatives Advanced knowledge of Lean tools, methods, and process improvement techniques Ability to coach and influence at all levels of an organization Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with data analysis and statistical tools Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications Certifications Required: Lean Certification Preferred: Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Lean Sensei Change Management certification EPIC Cadence certification If you feel this is not something that you are currently interested in, but know of someone, that might be, please share the details with them or let me know their details so I can reach out to them!
