Targa is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead the development and integration of corporate process safety programs and processes. This position is responsible for advancing process safety management (PSM) across the organization, ensuring policies and procedures are consistent, effective, and aligned with industry best practices. The candidate will assist with developing, improving, and maintaining PSM programs, standards, and guidance to drive process safety performance and regulatory compliance. The candidate will lead and provide subject matter expertise on implementing API 754 process safety performance metrics and analyze key process safety indicators to inform leadership around key risk management strategies. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage key compliance activities for the 14 elements of PSM and RMP; such activities include, but are not limited to, Process Safety Information, Process Hazard Analysis, Operating Procedures, Operator Training, Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, Incident Investigation, Compliance Audits and Risk Management Plans. Requirements for the role include extensive experience in process safety management, substantial familiarity with regulatory agency codes and standards, significant exposure to oil and gas operations, and demonstrated leadership and motivational skills.
