Position Summary The Blending Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the entire blending operation, material handlers and receiving including staffing and training, productivity, quality, and safety. This position is also responsible for the Food Safety and Food Quality programs. This role reports to the Processing Manager and is based out of our Springdale, AR location. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (essential Functions Of The Job). Responsible accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Supervise and coordinate daily operations activities for blenders material handlers, and receiving to meet basic production scheduling, work assignments. Lead, train, coach, and motivate team members to maximize productivity, inventory accuracy, teamwork and accountability. Handle employee performance management, including coaching, corrective action and performance evaluations. Maintain accurate production records, reports and shift documentation. This may include but no limit to accurate scanning of material and inventory management. Conduct regular inspection of work areas, equipment, and personnel to maintain employee safety, food quality and efficient work environment. Enforce safety, quality, sanitation and regulatory compliance policies (OSHA, FDA, USDA and industry specific standards (CQPs and CCPs). Communicate production goals, issues and performance metrics to staff and management. Collaborate with other departments (Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse and Supply Chain) to ensure smooth operations. Promote continues improvement mindset to modify or expand training material as needed. Support process improvement to increase efficiency, reduce waste and enhance product quality. Perform as backup and assist as needed for any position withing department including Blending Manager. Forklift certification 1 year 3-5 yeas of supervisory experience in processing, manufacturing or production environment. Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience in the food/beverage industry Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented; ability to multi-task Excellent time management skills Ability to work independently Credibility and Integrity Build and maintain professional relationships Physical Requirements & Working Conditions This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting. FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to sit for prolonged periods to perform computer and administrative work, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal). OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height; ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, assist in batching. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
