Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lake Wales, FL, for a Processing Engineer. Perform functions to plan, design and develop processing and operational options to solve problems and improve yield and performance, managing costs, efficiency, ensure food safety, quality, and safety of plant and port operations. Guardian of existing methods, procedures, techniques to meet new or unusual requirements and working within the limits of established policies. Specifics: · Direct monitoring of incoming product from Brazil, Service Provider and Futures · Work with coordinators and supervisors as guardian of Citrosuco’s aseptic system. · Involved in the budget and Capex projects monitoring/management for Lake Wales and Wilmington (Budget up to $15MM and Capex up to $1.8MM) in average. · Side by side with Food Safety Team keeping the product safety Essential Functions Monitoring and work improving/implementing controls related to inbound and outbound products, blending, loading/offloading, planning activities and using statistic controls proposing improvements related to operations, Safety and Maintenance, enhancing the plant performance. Technical support to new process standards, new projects and investments. Perform technical study, leading implementations and working with corporate areas from Brazil supporting Lake Wales and Wilmington operations. Coordinate PDCAs, other performance training and qualification tools (problem solving, performance, fail detection, safety with Supervisors, Leads and Operators Production meetings and track results and project status, track Standards and Goals progress, provide Management will regular reports on all relevant operations tracking data. Monitor yield and efficiency of operations, stablishing, implementing and monitoring KPIs related to the plant performance. Identify necessary investments to be added to the annual Capex projects. Working with payback calculations and developing potential suppliers for each project. Support the management during the preparation of the budget for Lake Wales, Wilmington and port operations and also for the monthly controls (Cost Management, Potential Savings and Replans) between planned and executed. Work with Quality department determining the quantity and timing of sampling and ensure that samples are representative of actual production results. Enter data related to efficiency and quality statistics, analyze data, prepare models, graphs, and charts to identify and interpret results. Report on the productivity and stability of process. Support the logistic area in the loading / offloading planning , based on the characteristics of products, loading bays availability, product setups and operation restrictions. Identify gaps proposing alternatives to reduce costs and improve the efficiency. Respond to indications of problems and identify potential causes, communicate with supervisors and operators to provide, or obtain information and make recommendations for modifications to process that will improve food safety, yield, and efficiency. Coordinate with the areas receiving product from various sources (US, Mex, BR); evaluation of inventory consolidation respecting the particularities from the product and check availability of product and blend / consolidation alternatives. Guardian of operational procedures to guarantee the standards are followed. When necessary proposed revisions, training and follow-ups. Responsible for maintaining, improve operations reports providing / supporting the management in the operations decisions. OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Perform / Lead GMP and Food Safety audits in Lake Wales & Wilmington. Help in Safety Tasks and controls including orientation for Citrosuco employees and Contractors. Participate in the inventory audits for bulk and packaged products.
