About the Role As a Procurement Specialist at Xinquan Texas Automotive Interiors LLC, you will be responsible for establishing and optimizing procurement operations for indirect materials and services at our Austin, Texas facility. This role plays a critical part in supporting plant operations by managing all non-production spending, including maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies, facility services, IT equipment, and professional services. You will leverage strong negotiation skills, supplier relationship management expertise, and process-building capabilities to develop efficient, compliant, and cost-effective procurement strategies. This position requires close collaboration with maintenance, facilities, IT, and finance teams to support continuous 24/7 manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy & Execution Develop and execute procurement strategies for indirect materials and services (MRO supplies, facility services, IT equipment, professional services) Analyze spending data to identify cost reduction opportunities and support budget planning Mitigate supply chain risks through strategic sourcing initiatives Develop contingency plans for critical supplies and services Supplier & Contract Management Lead supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings and favorable commercial terms Manage supplier selection, evaluation, and ongoing performance Conduct RFP/RFQ processes and negotiate master service agreements Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while resolving performance issues Operations & Process Development Establish procurement policies, procedures, and approval workflows for a new facility Implement and manage e-procurement systems to streamline purchasing processes Optimize MRO inventory levels and implement vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs Ensure procurement activities support 24/7 manufacturing operations Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with maintenance, facilities, IT, and finance teams to align procurement needs Coordinate with China headquarters to ensure global procurement alignment Ensure compliance with company standards, audit requirements, and ethical sourcing practices Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment Proven negotiation skills with demonstrated cost savings results Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent) and e-procurement platforms Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on spending data Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities Ability to respond to urgent procurement needs in a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel occasionally Preferred Experience in automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier environment Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, CPM, or PMP Experience supporting startup or greenfield operations Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin Familiarity with MRO and facilities services procurement Knowledge of Lean procurement and continuous improvement methodologies Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Xinquan Texas Automotive Interiors LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
