Job Description
Product Designer r.Potential | SF Bay Area | 3 days/week in person About r.Potential We are an AI startup launched by The Adecco Group and Salesforce that's redefining how humans and intelligent digital agents collaborate— building enterprise AI that helps organizations plan, design, and govern human‑plus‑AI work models through integrated financial forecasting—connecting workforce and operational data so leaders can decide how human and digital labor work together to drive outcomes. About us AI is rewriting what people do at work. We are building the AI nervous system for the world's largest employers: a platform that signals where to apply AI agents and where to redeploy human capacity to put people to their highest potential. Fortune 500 executives and AI labs are building it with us. Everyone on the team from the founder down ships code. We move fast and hold a high craft bar. You'll feel both your first week. About the role You'll own how Fortune 500 leaders see, decide, and act on what AI is doing to their workforce. The design language for AI-era enterprise software is being written right now, and you'll write a lot of it. We don't ship generic SaaS. Our brand is editorial, our craft bar is high, and the work you do here will be seen. You'll own feature flows, information architecture, complex data UIs, and the evolving design system. The work matters more than the tool, whether that's Figma, code, or a written rationale on a Loom. You'll also ship small-to-medium UI changes directly to our React/shadcn frontend using AI coding tools, so the small stuff doesn't sit in an engineering queue. The founder does this and so will you. What you'll do Design and ship product features on a fast cadence. Sometimes from idea to live in a single day. Own complex enterprise flows: pipelines, dashboards, role and function navigation, calibration UIs. Maintain and grow our design system, brand voice, and editorial polish. We have a point of view, and you'll bring yours. Pair with engineering on bigger flows. Partner with the founder on brand voice. Use AI coding tools to land small UI changes directly when that's faster than a handoff. What we're looking for ~2 years of experience as a product designer with a portfolio of shipped product work, not concept-only. At least one complex flow or data-heavy UI in your portfolio: dashboards, admin tools, multi-step pipelines, or comparable enterprise surfaces. Background in B2B or enterprise SaaS, or as the primary designer at an early-stage startup. Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools. You can use Cursor or Claude Code to ship a shadcn component change in a live exercise. Strong typographic and density taste. You can articulate why Linear, Vercel, or Stripe screens work. Comfort iterating on shipped product without preciousness. Bay-area-commutable. OK with 3 days a week in person. Bonus points Direct experience with shadcn, Radix, or Tailwind in prior roles. Some marketing, landing, or brand surface work. Public design artifacts: personal site, writing, talks, OSS contributions. Past design system ownership (tokens, patterns, components). What we offer A design surface that matters. Every flow you ship shapes what AI does to people's work inside a Fortune 500. Real ownership over the user-facing product, not a slot in a design ops queue. Direct partnership with the founder on brand and product. Room to grow into design system and marketing surface ownership. Base salary range: $130K–$205K + equity + regular medical, dental and PTO benefits Internal mobility and long-term growth trajectory r.Potential is part of the Adecco Group, is one of the world’s largest employers.
