Job Description
We are looking for a Product Development Manager for mens and womens socks and hosiery at a top fashion company in New York, New York. This is a temp to perm position and operates 5 days onsite in the New York City location. Full Time Salary range is $100K-$110K based on experience Responsibilities: Work closely with the Design Team on all development details and expectations. Led the product development activities with factories, from receiving the Tech Packs, sending all sampling requests to all vendors, following up with sample due dates, and receiving all models in-house. Lead cross-functional communication of sample delivery updates. Find solutions for meeting deadlines. Manage factory sourcing plans understanding capacity/capabilities/quality/costs. Understand testing requirements for each Retailer. Understand the Compliance requirements for each brand and Retailer. Clear understanding of cost parameters and margin matrix. Initiate costing requests at the development stage and counter costing and development for any new factory. Initiate, follow up, and track all costing requests to all vendors on any new products and reorder inquiries. Work with the production team on any product development history or issues Review and act upon all quality / fit submissions for fabric, trim, specs, and overall execution and packaging at the development stage. Work with Design and Sales for all Lab Dips/ Strike Offs approvals Meet calendar deadlines and communicate to appropriate team members about any delays.
