Job Description
Product ManagementProduct management defines, promotes and communicates the strategic roadmap for current and future products.Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, understand current business process, challenges, and opportunities.Identify potential products and emerging markets; conduct market research; generate product requirements; determine specifications; create product roadmap; conduct competitive assessments and product positioning; and craft marketing strategies/campaigns for new product introduction/launch.Act as primary contact and product evangelist to build awareness, understanding, and user acceptance.Works with customers to develop and prioritize high level product requirements and ensure customer satisfaction and goals are met.Work closely with technology, sales and other cross functional teams to determine plans for product implementation, upgrades and deployments.Participate in creating and driving product positioning and customer messaging.How you'll contribute:Translates product strategy into detailed requirementsDrive the ongoing advancement and planning of the product roadmap by working with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Development & individual clients to understand, identify, and define future needs and opportunities.Approves project scope and change requests.Execute the product roadmap by providing direction to the product development team for product evolution and priorities, ensuring that the experience gained from external market activities, usage analysis, competitive response, and market research is reflected in future product releasesUnderstands customer needs, pain points, and opportunities by developing impactful positioning and customer messaging.Specifies research needed to obtain market informationBuilds deep product knowledge and articulates key product differentiators in an impactful wayRecommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications, requirements, risks, and appraising new product ideas and/or product changesDefine high level customer requirements for the entire customer experience including product features and functions, target markets, and pricing.May participate in creating product collateral to articulate benefits and value proposition of Company product lines.Assess market competition by cultivating knowledge of competitor products to identify product gaps, assess and address competitive threats, and gain a competitive edgeWhat you'll bring:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience5years' directly related experience in product or services developmentKnowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs):Leadership presence with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with and explain complex concepts to stakeholders and managementExperience in product development, requirements and risk analysis, pricing, planning, competitive analysis, and financial planning and strategyExperience in working in cross functional highly matrixed environmentsInnovative and forward thinkingAdvanced knowledge of MS Office applicationsSound decision making, creativity, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to build relationships and ensure cooperation across First American product companiesProject management skillsBusiness acumen, strategic agility, influence outcomes and change and negotiate for resourcesSuccessful track record designing, developing, and executing a wide range of projectsDrives and models customer loyalty, manages customer expectations, solicits customer feedback and ensures commitments are metPay Range:$112,400.00 - $149,800.00 AnnuallyFirst American will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws (e.g., the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act).First American intends to conduct a review of an applicant's criminal history in connection with a conditional offer.First American reasonably believes that a criminal history may have a direct, adverse and negative relationship with the following material job duties for this position potentially resulting in the withdrawal of the conditional offer of employment:handling of confidential, proprietary or trade secret information belonging to First American or its customers, administrating or facilitating financial transactions, and the ability to meet customer-imposed criminal history requirements.By choice, we don't simply accept individuality we embrace it, we support it, and we thrive on it!
