Job Summary Alessi Bakeries is seeking a skilled Production Floater. The Production Floater supports daily production activities across multiple product lines, including Tiramisu, Éclair, Tres Leches, Sheet Cake, and Crumb Cake production. This role is hands-on and floor-focused, assisting different production areas as needed to help maintain efficient workflow, proper setup, and continuous production throughout the day. The Production Floater moves between production lines to assist teams with setup, materials, equipment readiness, and general production support while following direction from the Production Leader and Production Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned) Provide hands-on support across multiple production lines as needed throughout the shift. Follow daily production instructions provided by the Production Leader or Production Manager. Assist with setup and preparation of production areas prior to startup. Help ensure machines are properly assembled and ready for operation, including transfer pumps and hoppers. Verify availability of racks, trays, frames, containers, and other required production materials. Support smooth workflow and transitions between production runs. Monitor production areas and report issues, delays, or material shortages to leadership. Assist production teams with maintaining batter supply, hopper levels, and containers to prevent downtime. Help keep workstations organized, stocked, and ready for production activities. Provide general support to teams working on: Tiramisu, Éclair, Tres Leches, Sheet Cake, Crumb Cake production Assist with clearing and resetting production areas between runs Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas and equipment. Follow and reinforce safe work practices and proper equipment handling. Report quality, safety, or equipment concerns promptly to the Production Leader or Production Manager. Support production efficiency by assisting where needed across different production lines. Qualifications 2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred. 3 years of baking experience. Familiarity with food production equipment and basic setup processes. Ability to work across multiple production areas during a shift. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with production teams. Physical Requirements: This position may require occasional lifting of up to 50 plus pounds. The role involves working in a production environment. Ability to work in a fast paced production environment. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work hands on on the production floor.
