Production Level 2 - First Shift Job Titles:Taper Puncher - Bead & Accessories Screen Builder Screen Roller Screen Trimmer Hardware Puncher - Window Lines Scrap Job Summary:Performs entry-level production tasks supporting the window manufacturing process.Uses hand tools, basic machinery, and work instructions to assemble components, operate simple equipment, and maintain quality and safety standards.Contributes to efficient production flow and team success.Benefits & Perks:Competitive Pay:$16.00 per hour Paid Weekly Health / Vision / Dental / Life / Short-Term Disability 6 Paid Holidays PTO 401(k) & 401(k) Match Merit Increases End-of-Year Bonus Employee Referral Program Family-owned and operated with a friendly atmosphere Essential Functions - Responsibilities Taper:Applies tape to window components to ensure proper sealing and preparation for assembly.Puncher - Bead & Accessories:Punches bead and accessory components according to specifications.Screen Builder:Assembles window screens using frames, mesh, and spline.Screen Roller:Rolls screen material into frames ensuring proper fit and tension.Screen Trimmer:Trims excess screen material to meet quality and appearance standards.Hardware:Installs basic hardware components onto window units.Puncher - Window Lines:Operates punching equipment on window line components.Scrap:Breaks down, sorts, and disposes of scrap material while maintaining a clean work area.Performs additional duties as assigned.Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.Experience Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.On-the-job training provided.Training includes equipment operation, work processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.Skills Ability to understand English and follow written and verbal instructions.Basic math, reading, and writing skills for measurements and documentation.Ability to identify correct materials, profiles, and components.Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate simple machinery and computer interfaces.Strong attention to detail and quality inspection ability.Ability to handle pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain accuracy.Ability to work cooperatively with others and follow direction from supervisors.Willingness to learn and operate multiple machines, trainable for various jobs throughout the plant.Work Environment & PPE Fast-paced production environment; some areas may involve heat or working with sharp materials.Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and handle large pieces of glass.Must be able to operate equipment such as saws, welders, drills, screw guns, punches, and end mills (training provided).Required PPE based on production line or task:Safety glasses Hearing protection Cut-resistant gloves and sleeves Physical Demands:Light to medium Occasional:20-50 lbs.Constant:10 lbs.Work Schedule 1st shift Monday-Thursday:5:00 AM-3:30 PM (Some lines operate 6:00 AM-4:30 PM.)
