Job Description
GALA Hispanic Theatre is seeking a bilingual Production Manager to oversee production planning and execution for mainstage productions, educational programming, rentals, and special events. For 50 years, GALA has produced Latino/Hispanic theatre, dance, and music that reflects the diversity of the Latino experience and builds bridges across communities. Responsibilities Maintain and communicate production schedules and calendars Draft and execute artist, designer, and rental contracts Hire and supervise technical staff, stage managers, backstage crew, and interns Coordinate auditions, production meetings, rehearsals, and rentals Support productions during rehearsals, tech, performances, and opening nights Manage production reports, budgets, and production-related purchasing Collaborate with artistic, marketing, education, and house management teams Qualifications Degree in theatre or related field preferred Stage management experience required Fluency in spoken and written Spanish required Strong organizational and communication skills Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Zoom Valid driver’s license required Evening and weekend availability required Must live within commuting distance of GALA Hispanic Theatre Compensation & Benefits Full-time salaried position Starting salary: $57,000+ (negotiable based on experience) Partial health insurance coverage Paid holidays and vacation time To Apply Please send a cover letter and resume to Rebecca Medrano, Executive Director ( rebecca@galatheatre.org ) and Gustavo Ott, Artistic Director ( gustavo.ott@galatheatre.org ).
