is a strategic consulting organization serving the governmental sector, and our Printing Media operations within the Manufacturing & Production department support the delivery of high-quality printed materials that advance impactful policy and advocacy initiatives. We are seeking a dependable Press Rollstand Operator to ensure our web printing presses are continuously supplied with the correct paper stock and are running efficiently and safely. As a Press Rollstand Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating rollstands that feed large rolls of paper into high-speed presses. safely load and clamp rolls using hoists and other material-handling equipment; web the press as needed; You will monitor web tension, alignment, and overall roll performance throughout each run, promptly addressing web breaks, misfeeds, and other issues that may affect print quality or schedule. Working in a fast-paced production environment, you will partner closely with press operators and supervisors to keep jobs moving on time and to specification. You will perform basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and minor mechanical adjustments on rollstands and related equipment, and you will follow all safety and housekeeping standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment. Accurate documentation of material usage, downtime, and production metrics will be part of your daily routine, supporting both operational efficiency and continuous improvement efforts. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with solid mechanical aptitude, comfort working around heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality.
