Production Roaster Newberg, OR 30hrs| Early Morning Schedule Caravan Coffee is looking for a Production Roaster to join our team. This role is built for someone who takes pride in consistency, cares about the details, and understands that great coffee is the result of disciplined execution, not guesswork. You will be responsible for producing coffee that meets our standards every time, supporting packaging and fulfillment, and maintaining a clean, organized production environment. This is a hands-on role. It requires focus, repetition, and ownership. What You’ll Do Roast and produce coffee according to established profiles and production needs Execute weekly production volume (~2,600 lbs) with consistency and accuracy Assist with packaging, labeling, and order fulfillment Maintain roasting equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace Support inventory awareness and production flow Work closely with operations to ensure orders are completed on time Schedule Monday–Thursday Start time: 6:00 AM End time: typically between 1:00–2:00 PM What We’re Looking For 1–2 years of coffee experience preferred Production roasting experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow systems Comfortable with repetitive, process-driven work Ability to stay focused and consistent under volume Takes ownership of their work without needing constant direction Able to lift up to 150lbs with assistance Nice to Have (Not Required) Experience with profile development Cupping / QC experience Exposure to green coffee evaluation Growth Path This role is designed as a production-focused position. For the right person, there is a path into deeper involvement in quality control and green coffee over time. Compensation $19-21/hour based on experience Tip pool share averaging an additional $.50–$1/hr. PTO accrual and optional retirement plan with employer match.
