Production Supervisor 📍 San Jose, CA | 🕒 Full-Time | 🔧 Manufacturing / Operations 🕐 Shift: Day or Swing A global electronics manufacturing leader is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to support high‑volume, high‑mix manufacturing operations in San Jose, CA. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys driving operational excellence across SMT and Mechanical Assembly processes. About the Role The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shop-floor operations, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining strict quality, safety, and efficiency standards. You will lead a team of operators and assemblers, partner closely with cross‑functional teams, and support New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Supervise day‑to‑day production activities within SMT and Mechanical Assembly areas Ensure production targets, KPIs, and delivery commitments are achieved Monitor and improve yield, throughput, downtime, and labor efficiency Lead, coach, and develop production operators and line support staff Enforce safety, ESD compliance, and quality standards (ISO 9001, IPC) Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Materials, PM, and Warehouse teams to resolve production and material issues, particularly during NPI builds Identify and escalate production risks, bottlenecks, and quality concerns Conduct shift handovers, daily production meetings, and performance reporting Manage staffing, scheduling, and overtime based on business needs Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) Maintain accurate production data using ERP / MES / SFC systems Required Skills & Experience Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of SMT processes, PCBA manufacturing, and production flow Working knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 standards, ESD practices, and ISO quality systems Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems; familiarity with MES/SFC tools Data‑driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and drive improvements Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort operating in fast‑paced settings Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred (Equivalent 5+ years of relevant experience will be considered) 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, ideally within SMT/PCBA operations Prior supervisory or team‑lead experience required Benefits Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO
