Job Description
Manufacturing Group Leader (Production / Supply Chain / Quality) Location: Lockport, NY Work Schedule: Onsite, rotating shifts required Employment Type: Contract (12 months) with potential for extension or conversion Pay Rate: $50–$54/hour Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Group Leader to oversee daily operations within a production, quality, or supply chain environment. This role is responsible for leading teams, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a proven track record of supporting operational excellence, safety, and team development. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise production, quality, or supply chain teams to meet operational goals Manage daily production plans and adjust operations as needed to meet schedule requirements Train, mentor, and develop team members using standardized work methods Monitor and maintain quality standards and support resolution of quality issues Promote and enforce safe work practices and workplace safety compliance Drive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives Coordinate personnel, materials, and equipment to support operational efficiency Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees and leadership Identify process issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Support process improvements using lean manufacturing and variation reduction principles Manage performance, provide coaching, and address employee concerns when necessary Maintain operational documentation and communicate department goals Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment Experience managing people and addressing performance or operational issues Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, documentation systems) High School Diploma or equivalent Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as required Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, production, quality, or supply chain operations Experience supervising employees in a union or structured workforce environment Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles Experience with process improvement or throughput optimization initiatives Background in automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing environments Military leadership experience Work Environment Manufacturing facility environment Exposure to varying temperatures and industrial noise levels Regular standing, walking, and movement throughout the shift Ability to lift materials up to approximately 40 lbs as needed Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) Pride Global offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
