Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Production Worker / Order Entry Specialist to join our dynamic team.This role is a key part of our production workflow--supporting both hands-on manufacturing and data entry, including reviewing and editing lens orders to ensure accuracy before they move into production.The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, types efficiently, and takes pride in getting the details right.Responsibilities Operate and maintain production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.Perform quality assurance checks to verify products meet established specifications.Review, enter, and edit lens orders in our system to ensure all details are correct (Rx, materials, coatings, measurements, special instructions, etc.).Work quickly and accurately with a high volume of order entry--strong typing speed and computer confidence are important.Assist with laboratory procedures and daily workflow support to keep production moving smoothly.Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions effectively.Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.Document production processes and results accurately for quality control and tracking.Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and quality.The following skills are most important Being on time Strong work ethic Sense of urgency Great attitude Being coachable Being prepared If you have these qualities, we'll teach you the rest! Requirements Computer skills are a must (comfortable navigating systems, entering/editing orders, and working efficiently on a keyboard).Fast and accurate typing is strongly preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production demands.Ideal (But We'll Train the Right Person) Previous experience in retail sales or optical environments is preferred but not mandatory.Familiarity with laboratory procedures, management, and quality assurance practices is a plus.Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ophthalmology is a plus.Experience with CNC machinery is desirable for specific production tasks.Join us in creating high-quality products while advancing your career in a supportive environment!
