Description Who We Are CPM Educational Program’s mission is to empower mathematics students and teachers through exemplary curriculum, professional development, and leadership. Our teacher-supporting, student-centered, problem-based classroom solutions for grades 6–12 foster engagement and equity in the classroom, while we strive to cultivate these same values within our workplace culture. Your Role at a Glance The Professional Learning Specialist is a full-time, exempt, role (California Only) that reports to the Customer Success Manager in the Professional Learning department. This position is responsible for serving as a mentor for teachers implementing the CPM curriculum materials. This position is full time and 100% remote with travel to events required. In person professional learning events and school visits may occur at work sites away from the home office up to 75% of the annualized work weeks with the other work time being conducted from a home office. Requirements Your Day-to-Day Contributions Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate professional learning. Conduct effective CPM workshops using the agendas. Maintain accurate attendance records. Complete and submit reports after each workshop day. Communicate with participants preceding and following a workshop. Conduct Implementation Support Visits. Serve as the Implementation Partner for sites when assigned. Facilitate online professional learning opportunities. Work may occur at remote sites more than 75% of the annualized workweeks. Create professional learning content. Develop content for asynchronous and synchronous learning modules and corresponding agendas. Create site support resources. Create content for additional projects as assigned. Serve as a role model and representative for CPM. Represent CPM at local and regional conferences as assigned. Conduct CPM program overview presentations for schools and districts as assigned. Present sessions or staff the booth at conferences as assigned. Attend internal professional learning sessions offered by CPM. Regional Support Specialist duties as assigned. CPM Instructional Coach duties as assigned. Additional duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Key Competencies: High level of integrity, industriousness, and passion for transforming education. Exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Language Skills: Fluency in English. Ability to communicate successfully when collaborating with coworkers. Ability to take written and/or verbal instruction. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematics for the courses they will offer support for in workshops or classrooms. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: An individual should have knowledge of Google Workspace. Knowledge of basic office equipment should include: Internet, email, telephone, and computers. Ability to learn to use unfamiliar software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required if driving for work.
