Description Overview: The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory University seeks an ABOS certified (or eligible) Orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery to join the Department at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. The position is a full-time academic opportunity with possibility of advancement and competitive compensation model with excellent health/dental and retirement benefits. It is based in a busy metropolitan city with access to a major airport, cultural and recreational activities, and extensive family-oriented resources. J ob Description The ideal candidate will have a passion for orthopaedic trauma and expertise in the management of complex musculoskeletal injuries. They will be exposed to high energy traumatic injuries with the opportunity for complex reconstruction of soft tissue and bony injuries. They can also contribute to the medical education of resident and fellow trainees through weekly teaching and clinical rotations if desired. Interest in pursuing academic endeavors is also a possibility, as the successful candidate will be joining an academically productive faculty actively involved in clinical outcomes and biomechanics research. Given the interdisciplinary collaborations clinically and through research, we are looking for candidates who are strong team players and committed to advancing innovation in trauma care.
