ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION:The mission of Rutland County Restorative Justice Center (RCRJC) is to engage community members in responding to the needs of crime victims, the community, and those who violate the law, holding the latter accountable in a manner that promotes responsible and restorative behavior.We encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds and identities to apply.Embracing unique perspectives is integral to our team, and each new hire enriches our organization with fresh viewpoints.We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, providing you with the ideal platform to excel and thrive in your career.We identify as and anti-racist agency and are committed to upholding that Diversity is a fact, equity a choice, inclusion an action, and belonging an outcome -Arthur Chan; join us in celebrating difference and creating a future accountable to all.CAREER DESCRIPTION:RCRJC seeks a Program Director who will supervise up to 7 employees and 15 programs within the Restorative Justice Center.This dynamic leader embodies our values of equity, wellness, and trust-based supervision, fostering an environment where employees are empowered to lead with autonomy while receiving the support and accountability they need.The Program Director will support effective training for staff and volunteers to address the impact of harm, provide conflict-resolution, and successful outcomes for participants.The programs supported by the Program Director work with sensitive populations, including individuals with convictions for serious offenses (such as sex offenses and murder), BIPOC/2STLGBQIAindividuals, at-risk youth (ages 10+), unhoused populations, people encountering the criminal justice system, and those with mental health or substance use challenges.The Program Director must be willing to work with, supervise, and, at times, manage high-profile cases involving these marginalized groups.The role requires a strong commitment to restorative practices, community engagement, and equitable solutions for all clients.The Program Director will collaborate regularly with community partners to ensure we have great working relationships with referring partners.The Director will make sure all cases are properly documented including quarterly narratives, participant number reporting, and any other requirements related to program tracking.See the Responsibilities & Duties section for more details.HIRING TIMELINE FOR 7/1/2026 START DATE:3/27/2026 - 4/26/2026 Accepting Applications via How to Apply 4/27/2026 - 5/1/2026 Application Review 5/4/2026 - 5/7/2026 First Round Interviews 5/11/2026 - 5/14/2026 Second Round Interviews 5/15/2026 - 5/19/2026 Reference Checks 5/26/2026 Finalists Meet the Full Team in-person 5/27/2026 Final Selection 5/29/2026 - 6/1/2026 Notification to all applicants RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Supervision, Employee Evaluation, and Case Support (30% - 12 Hours) Promote work-life balance that encourages and empowers employee well-being, including regularly checking in on staff capacity and adjusting support as appropriate.Model vulnerability, transparency, accountability, empathy, and active listening in leadership, creating an environment where staff feel comfortable bringing forward questions, ideas, and challenges.Supervise restorative justice cases for each employee at least monthly to ensure organized and responsive case management and resolution, including collaboratively walking through cases, validating staff perspectives, and supporting staff decision-making through a reflective, facilitative approach that builds autonomy, confidence, and critical thinking.Foster a supportive environment by being accessible for brief staff-led check-ins, supporting staff to work independently, and upholding clear professional boundaries, including handling information shared respectfully and elevating concerns when necessary.Conduct quarterly employee evaluations and an annual review to provide organized, strength-based feedback that supports professional and personal development.Train incoming staff and current staff on programs including case management, state CRM's, evaluation tools, and related processes.Engage in intentional team-building practices to support trust, communication, & cohesion.Community Collaboration/Partner Meetings and Training (20% - 8 Hours) Deliver workshops, community events, and training focused on programs.Organize and participate in collaboration meetings with external partners and stakeholders.Maintain regular communication with organizations that are referral/MOU partners.Represent the organization at public forums, conferences, programmatic meetings, and community events to raise awareness of restorative justice and equity practices.Volunteer Recruitment and Retention (20% - 8 Hours) Develop and implement strategies to recruit volunteers for program activities.Foster a supportive and inclusive environment to retain volunteers, ensuring they receive the nec
