Job Description
Position Title Program Implementation Specialist Summary of Position This role has two areas of focus: engaging the Individuals with disabilities and providing supervision throughout their day. You will empower Individuals to achieve their highest vocational potential through: Engagement in program activities Vocational training and mentoring Assignment of work duties Monitoring behaviours Serve as front line supervisor of Individuals. Works as part of team ensuring monthly and quarterly goals are achieved for individuals. Provide daily, weekly and monthly feedback both to individual and the Director of Operations. Maintain optimal individual and group productivity/quality to meet production goals and customer expectations with minimal supervision. Lead group activities ensuring that all individuals are engaged in meaningful activities. This position is expected to stand and move through the group for the entire program day. Major Responsibilities Obtain a deep, personal knowledge of assigned Individuals (i.e. abilities, goals, behaviours). Maximize the performance of assigned group to assure compliance with vocational, production, and job design standards. Keep all individuals gainfully engaged throughout their program day. Assist in goal setting and daily tracking of progress for assigned Individuals. Provide training in job tasks that emphasize individual training needs and learning style and which ensure compliance with DOL requirements. Teach/Assist with activity instruction for Individuals including developing curriculum and visual aids and ensuring class participation. Accurately document all participant, group, and unit activity according to agency standards and time frames to ensure fair wages. Assure that the training and work environment is safe, clean, and hazard-free. Safely transport or assist with transporting Individuals or product as needed. Perform quality assurance of all work assigned and ensure time requirements are met. Read job orders and assign job tasks based on Individual’s abilities. Various other tasks and projects both in and out of facility. Leading special work groups and operating specialized equipment. Closely monitor all individuals. Complete incident reports, as needed, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Establish rapport with funding source counselors as well as family members. Complete monthly billing and quarterly reports in a timely manner. QC all work projects assigned to ensure adherence to customer requirements. Skills: Ability to engage Individuals in life/job skill activities. Teach assigned classes/activities. Ability to use person centered goals and engage individuals on an appropriate level. Ability to read and carry out simple written instructions, i.e. memos, pay sheets, work orders and other miscellaneous reports without direction. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure. Work with and compute percentages, decimals, and fractions. Ability to prepare summaries using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, and spelling. Ability to identify and list production data quantities and prepare detailed inventory reports. Ability to provide concise and accurate reports that use correct technical/professional terminology and that effectively describe the event or circumstance. Ability to interpret data from professional and non-professional sources, analyze problems, and recommend procedures and course of action. Ability to plan own work activities, work as a member of a team, and train and direct the work activities of others. Ability to work as a team player. Operate electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and forklift as required. Ability to operate and instruct others in the operation of tape gun, tape machine, L-bar, heat tunnel, heat sealer, manual scale, electric/manual scale, conveyor, non-power tools, carts, dollies, paper cutter, stapler, pencil, four wheel cart, two wheel dolly, calculator, computer and copier. Ability to plan and schedule movement or flow of materials or products in the most effective manner to meet consumer goals and production requirements. Ability to safely operate vehicles including automobiles, vans or buses and to transport passengers and or product in these vehicles. Ability to inspect, examine, and observe for obvious product or equipment defects. Ability to assemble or disassemble objects and determine malfunction of units by observing. Ability to anticipate the need for materials and manpower to accomplish work.
