Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite) Pay: $65,000 - $75,000 Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full Time About The Company Our client is a long-standing, family-operated organization offering the stability of a well-established business alongside continued growth and expansion opportunities. The environment is laid-back and collaborative, with a business casual dress code. The Project Accountant will partner closely with Project Managers to support the financial lifecycle of projects. This role is highly involved in job costing, billing, and compliance-related reporting. Key Responsibilities Job Costing & Project Analysis Perform detailed job costing Analyze project financials to ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts Track and report on project performance and cost variances Budgeting & Materials Tracking Assist with developing and monitoring material budgets Ensure accurate cost allocation across active projects Billing & Invoicing Manage AIA billing and daily job invoicing Extract and interpret data from invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness Process invoices on a daily basis and collaborate with PMs on billing details Project Setup & Closeout Support new job setup, including contractual and system configuration Assist with change orders and ensure proper documentation Handle project closeout activities, including final reporting and reconciliation Support extensive reporting requirements Qualifications Required: 2–3+ years of experience in construction or project accounting Strong understanding of job costing, billing processes, and project financials Ability to work cross-functionally with project managers and internal teams Preferred Experience with ERP systems Background in an excavating, engineering, or construction-related firm Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Project Accountant Project Accountant Project Accountant Project Accountant Project Accountant Project Accountant Project Accountant #INMAY2026
