Job Description
Summary The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Strategic Project Manager in all aspects of project management including planning, execution, follow up and project closure. They will also be responsible for project communication to the team and across the company. Job Functions Assist in developing project schedule, scope, and objectives Take and distribute project meeting notes Assist in following up on action items from meetings and maintain action item lists Maintain information in project folders Track and report project status Maintain project Management spreadsheets (milestones, scope, objective, lessons learned) Manage smaller projects Processing and tracking of project related purchase requisitions Follow up on project related Engineering Change Requests Follow up on project related drawing releases on projects Follow up on material returned from customers that are project related Help improve project management processes at DPG Performing other duties as assigned or directed Reading, understanding and following the company safety policies Specifications Required Familiarity with Project Management tools and techniques Experience working with customers and/or suppliers Knowledge and experience with Engineering drawings and process’s Attention to detail and accuracy Good writing skills to produce concise and accurate notes / communications Ability to apply knowledge effectively to new situations and opportunities Self-starter with excellent time management skills Ability to communicate and work successfully across the organization’s departments and external to the organization Ability to work efficiently and independently and manage time well Ability to operate at an advanced level in computer software Ability to be personally connected to others on the job, maintain a professional demeanor with a positive attitude Education Two-year Associates Degree in a technical or project management discipline or equivalent experience Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels within the organization Strong interpersonal skills - ability to thrive in a team oriented, creative, and collaborative environment. Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities.
