$42 -$50/hr Hourly (DOE) Depending on Experience Per diem @ $150 to $200/day, paid 7 days- Project Specific 50 to 84 hours per week. Texas Area Long Term Employment Summary of Responsibilities Southwest Electrical Contracting Services seeks a dedicated Project Engineer/APM to support project planning, execution, and oversight. This role involves reviewing design and bidding documents, evaluating contractor bids, and monitoring construction progress and scheduling. The Project Engineer/APM provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager. While working independently on assigned tasks, this role collaborates closely with supervisors and project teams. General Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and/or 5+ years’ experience in a related role. Strong communication skills with a professional and polished demeanor. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and relevant construction management software. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working without direct oversight. Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements. Familiarity with office protocols, routines, and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing cost estimates. Review plans and technical documents. Address inquiries regarding project scope and timelines. Monitor/Track project costs, progress, and productivity Maintain and manage project documentation. Update and organize project records. Assist project managers and superintendents in developing and distributing project schedules. Support conflict resolutions among owners, contractors, and subcontractors. Create, negotiate and Manage project change orders. Conduct and document weekly project meetings with owners. Assist in site safety documentation and coordination. Support project closeout procedures. Create and manage billings/invoices to customers. Assist project accountants with monthly subcontractor billing and pay applications. Provide direct support to the Project Manager as needed.
