Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, results-driven individual to join our growing and collaborative team. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Estimator in low voltage systems or related field. A strong background in construction management, cost estimation, and project planning is required. This role requires excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail to accurately assess project costs and timelines. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure projects are estimated correctly and completed within budget. A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering technology or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience. We offer very competitive wages plus performance bonuses. RESPONSIBILITIES Uncover and develop bid opportunities through various channels Build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, distributors and manufacturers Review project specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, and customer meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate Develop detailed material and labor estimates and proposal deliverables Finalize installation details with various customer types through an engineering product submittal process Provide Project support to our Engineers and BICSI Certified Technicians through collaboration to develop accurate project timelines and resource allocations QUALIFICATIONS Proven track record of successful cost estimation for large-scale projects Working knowledge of codes, standards, and best practices in our industry Superior communication and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word) Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Ability to produce results at a high level working independently and with minimal supervision REQUIREMENTS Analytical thinking Attention to detail Blueprint reading 3-5 years Construction Management 3-5 years Cost Estimation 3-5 years Project Management 3-5 years Construction Planning 3-5 years NICE TO HAVE Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree MET or EET degree AutoCAD experience Bluebeam experience
