Overview Herzog Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager in the United States to join our team. Duties And Responsibilities This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. Responsible for managing, developing, and implementing signal and communication system planning, installation, and project management oversite on complex rail projects, including light rail, trolley, commuter rail, and freight rail. Work with multidisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate complex system integration in urban and live track corridors to achieve a fully integrated and functional rail system while ensuring all safety, quality, and productivity requirements are met. Supervises and coordinates onsite activities and provides day-to-day direction of onsite staff to ensure that the project is executed in accordance with designs, budgets, schedules, and government regulations; takes appropriate action to minimize the impact of deviations and resolve conflicts as they arise. Monitors the efficient use of materials and equipment and the contractual performance of the project; confers with project staff to ensure that assigned duties and responsibility are performed according to expectations. Assists with preparation of written reports and/or updates (internal and external) for management, client, and project team, to ensure a clear understanding of project status. Reviews project proposals or plan to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Administers financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and estimates, verifies estimates based on detailed review of proposal specifications, and manages financial aspects of contracts. Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 10 years of signal and communication system planning, installation, and project oversite on complex rail projects. Thorough knowledge of design and construction requirements for catenary systems, traction power, and signal wayside elements. Demonstrates a working knowledge of basic project accounting, project controls (cost, schedule, change management, etc.), material management, contract management, subcontract management, safety, and quality. Exhibits strong management skills and has the ability to lead and motivate employees. Track record of successfully executing projects on schedule and within budget. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong client relations, influencing skills and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Pre-Employment Requirements Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsements as required per position. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position. Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis. Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position. Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position. Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).
