Project Manager – Retail Tenant Improvements Location: Houston, TX Compensation: ~$110,000 base + full benefits Overview We’re seeking a Project Manager with experience in retail tenant improvements to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who can manage multiple fast-paced build-outs while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality results. Key Responsibilities Manage retail TI projects from kickoff to completion (planning, budgeting, execution, closeout) Review plans, specs, and scopes to ensure project alignment and constructability Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and clients Lead subcontractor buyout, negotiations, and contract administration Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and timeline expectations Communicate progress, risks, and updates to stakeholders Qualifications 4–8+ years of experience as a Project Manager in construction Strong background in retail tenant improvements / commercial interiors Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools Strong communication and leadership skills What They Offer Competitive base salary (~$110K) Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, etc.) Stable pipeline of retail TI projects Opportunity to grow within a well-established team
