Job Description AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a talented Water Treatment Project Manager with a passion for water, water conveyance, treatment plant evaluation, design, and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the New England Area (Chelmsford, MA; Boston, MA; or Rocky Hill, CT) working on a diverse range of technically challenging water projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Lead multi-discipline and complex water design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects. Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects, to approved scope, budget, and schedule. Perform technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards. Serve as a point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in the New England Area. Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion. Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff for career development. Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such. Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts, including technical and cost pricing. Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering. Travel to and/or work in Chelmsford, MA; Boston, MA; or Manchester, NH may be required on a scheduled basis. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 6+ years of related experience in water treatment, pumping, and conveyance systems. Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 1 year. Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review. Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management. Registered Professional Engineer in MA, CT, NH, RI, VT, ME or ability to obtain within 6 months. Previous experience leading scope, technical approach, and pricing efforts for business development activities. Previous water treatment, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and client relations experience. Previous experience leading client and public presentations. Ability to work collaboratively and motivate staff and project team. Previous experience leading design build/alternate delivery projects. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $160,000 - $200,000 Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
