Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Proposal Specialist position in Oak Ridge, TN Job Description: The Proposal Specialist develops, writes, and manages proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitation documents. This role partners closely with sales, technical teams, and leadership to craft persuasive, accurate, and timely submissions that align with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead end‑to‑end proposal development, including kickoff, scheduling, content planning, and submission. Review solicitation documents to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, risks, and compliance needs. Write, edit, and format proposal sections such as executive summaries, technical narratives, past performance, and pricing justifications. Coordinate with SMEs to gather accurate technical and operational information. Maintain reusable content, templates, and graphics to streamline future submissions. Ensure proposals are compliant, persuasive, and aligned with brand and messaging standards. Track milestones and ensure all deliverables are completed on time. Research competitors and industry trends to strengthen proposal strategy. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related technical field. 2+ years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or business development. Strong writing and editing skills. Ability to interpret complex technical information and translate it into clear, compelling content. Excellent project management and organizational abilities. Familiarity with Government contracts. Proficiency with proposal tools such as SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, or proposal automation platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with federal, state, or commercial RFPs. Graphic design or layout skills (e.g., PowerPoint, InDesign).
