Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health care to our patients, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to improving the mental well-being of individuals across diverse populations. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Administer psychopharmacological treatments and monitor patient responses. Provide psychotherapy and counseling services as appropriate. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options. Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed. Stay current with best practices in psychiatric care, including telehealth services. Qualifications Master’s degree in nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health. Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Experience in behavioral health settings is preferred; experience with perinatal population is a value add. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as KIPU. Understanding of various specialties including perinatal clients.
