Job Summary-Pay will discuss at interview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes, promote recovery, and support overall well-being across outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk assessments. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with careful monitoring of efficacy and side effects. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, medication management, and psychoeducation. Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for documentation and clinical workflows. Provide crisis intervention and triage services for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or emergencies. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medication adherence, and coping strategies to foster recovery and resilience. Experience Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current state licensure. Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, or inpatient units. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and medication management protocols. Exposure to crisis intervention techniques, triage procedures, and acute care management. Prior experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams in settings such as hospitals, assisted living facilities, or community clinics is highly desirable.
