Job Summary The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner delivers services that may include substance use evaluations, psychiatric assessments, medication management, withdrawal management support, and treatment of co-occurring medical conditions. This position collaborates with physicians, psychiatrists, and a multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality, integrated patient care aligned with the MnTC treatment model. The role also provides education to patients, families, and staff on psychiatric and medical conditions and participates in on-call rotation as needed. Essential Job Responsibilities: Completed admission medical history and physical examination within 24 hours of patient admission, in accordance with program and regulatory requirements. Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments, including mental status examinations, substance use history, and risk assessments, to determine the presence of mental health and substance use disorders. Diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders in accordance with Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5-TR) criteria and applicable Minnesota Statutes.
