About Richmond State Hospital: Richmond State Hospital is about the people we serve and the community relationships we have developed, dating back to 1890. Richmond State Hospital is a public behavioral health facility operated by the state of Indiana and one of six state psychiatric hospitals within the Family and Social Services Administration Division of Mental Health and Addiction. As part of a newly integrated system of state psychiatric hospitals, we serve consumers across the state as the Eastern Center of Excellence in Mental Health and Addiction Services. Nestled in northwestern Richmond, our beautiful campus provides a quiet and peaceful environment. Richmond State Hospital offers individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, chaplain services, family therapy and education, group psych-education, rehabilitation therapies, and patient employment opportunities. Unit-based programming is augmented with campus-wide specialty groups. RSH has been a state leader in evidenced-based medication prescribing to both reduce the risks associated with polypharmacy and optimize clinical outcomes. The hospital clinical and medical leadership collaborate with the unit treatment teams to provide the most contemporary and comprehensive care possible. Salary Statement The salary for this position traditionally starts at $94,718.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience. A Day in the Life: Conduct Assessments and Provide Diagnostic Insight Administers initial and annual psychological assessments for all patients to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Performs psychological testing, scoring, interpretation, and written reports to inform clinical decision-making. Engage in Treatment Planning and Collaboration Participates in clinical treatment meetings to contribute psychological expertise to interdisciplinary care. Provides recommendations for specialized psychological evaluation and treatment according to the goals outlined in the master treatment plan to align care with patient needs. Ensures patient involvement and participation in treatment planning and implementation to promote engagement and recovery. Deliver Therapeutic Interventions and Support Provides evidence-based, recovery-oriented therapeutic interventions to patients in individual and/or group format to address mental health needs. Maintains a therapeutic alliance with the patient and family/caregivers and facilitate family therapy to strengthen support systems. Provides evidence-based therapeutic and psychoeducational interventions for campus-wide active treatment groups to promote shared learning and recovery. Document and Uphold Standards Completes documentation of all aspects of patient contact per facility, departmental, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure compliance and continuity of care. This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary. What You'll Need for Success: Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following: Ability to utilize various sources of data to determine changing clinical needs of hospital population and the ability to plan and/or alter psychological practice accordingly. Able to perform essentia
