Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Part-Time Daycare Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with daily care routines, and foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes growth, learning, and development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, applying your skills in childcare and early childhood education to help shape their foundational years. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Support children during playtime, meal times, nap times, and other daily routines with patience and care Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment by following health and safety protocols Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones Provide attentive toddler and infant care, ensuring their needs are met promptly and compassionately Support classroom management strategies to encourage positive behavior and engagement Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's day-to-day experiences and needs Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar setting is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience with classroom management techniques that foster a supportive learning environment Certification in first aid and CPR is needed; TB test is required before start date, finger print and background check is required before start, ongoing training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants through preschoolers Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, flexibility, and excellent communication abilities Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to nurturing young minds!
