Job Description
Summary The public safety screener will greet patients, visitors and healthcare personnel at points of entry within the Hospital. The screener should have a positive and energetic attitude with great customer service skills to greet and screen employees, physicians, providers, patients, and visitors upon entering the facility; using approved screening questions to ensure compliance with our entry screening process. Schedule may vary and may include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Public safety screener should: have the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and fluently; be able to work with a variety of people while providing excellent customer service; have basic computer knowledge; be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule as needed; be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by HCMH to perform the job safely; and work great as a team player with positive representation of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Education: High school Diploma or equivalent Work Experience: Customer service or Healthcare background preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to communicate in a professional manner at all times; able to follow Hospital Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidance, ability to follow directions accurately; ability to evaluate situations and develop appropriate response plan with little to no direct supervision; excellent customer service skills; and basic computer knowledge.
