Primary Responsibilities The Public Works Equipment Operator is the advanced journey level class responsible for a wide variety of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and construction tasks. This classification is distinguished from the next lower classification of Public Works Maintenance Worker II by the operation of heavy equipment and multiple power tools in construction operations Minimum Qualifications At least two (2) years full time work experience consistent with the job duties of a Public Works Maintenance Worker II with at least one (1) year of training in heavy equipment operation High school diploma or equivalent Possession of a valid Class B California driver’s license, or equivalent license from another issuin
