Puppy Raiser & Early Development Specialist -- Weeks 5-8 Pay:$650-$1,000/week (based on experience and litter size) About the Role We are looking for a dedicated, experienced puppy raiser to care for litters during the critical developmental window of weeks 5 through 8.This is the most important socialization period in a puppy's life, and we need someone who takes that seriously.You will be responsible for the full daily care, early training, and socialization of each litter during this 3-week period from your home.Responsibilities Feed puppies on a consistent schedule (3 meals per day) Oversee transition from soft to solid food Oversee care for dam including feeding, brushing and grooming. Maintain a clean, sanitary environment -- multiple daily cleanups of whelping/puppy area Provide structured socialization:exposure to household sounds, surfaces, people, and gentle handling Begin crate training and basic crate introduction for each puppy individually Teach simple foundational commands (sit, name recognition, recall basics) through positive reinforcement Work with each puppy one-on-one daily to build individual confidence and temperament Research and implement proven early development protocols (Puppy Culture, ENS, or similar -- willingness to learn is key) oDrop of dam with her guardian family when puppies are weaned at 7-8 weeks. Transport puppies to the vet for first vaccinations at 7 weeks and handle any follow-up care Manage puppies at your home with a secure, contained outdoor space for supervised play and potty training Take regular photos and videos of puppies for families updates and social media content -- capturing personality, milestones, and cute moments is part of the job Maintain daily notes or updates on each puppy's progress, temperament, and any health concerns Communicate regularly with the breeder on milestones, issues, and overall litter status Requirements Demonstrated experience working with dogs (professional or extensive personal experience) Secure, contained outdoor space suitable for puppies to play and begin potty training Home environment that is clean, safe, and appropriate for raising young puppies Reliable transportation for vet visits Ability to commit to the full 3-week period per litter with consistent daily availability Willingness to research, learn, and implement structured training and socialization protocols Comfortable taking quality photos and videos on a phone or camera Strong communication skills -- we expect regular updates and transparency Preferred Qualifications Experience whelping or raising litters from birth Familiarity with Puppy Culture, ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation), or similar programs Background in dog training, veterinary care, or animal husbandry Experience with crate training and positive reinforcement methods What We Provide All puppy food, supplies, crates, and cleaning materials Vet costs covered (vaccinations, deworming, health checks) Clear training guidelines and protocols to follow Schedule & Commitment This is a contract position on a per-litter basis.Each engagement is approximately 3-8 weeks.Litter frequency varies throughout the year.Ideal for someone who loves dogs and wants meaningful, flexible work that makes a real difference in the lives of these puppies and their future families.To apply, please include a brief description of your experience with dogs and any relevant training background.Photos or references from previous litter work are a plus.Job Type:Contract Pay:$650.00 - $1,000.00 per week Benefits:Flexible schedule Work Location:Remote.
