Job Title:Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description:The Purchasing/Accounts Payable Specialist plays a crucial role in the financial operations of the company.This position is responsible for processing invoices, managing expense accounts, and ensuring timely disbursement of payments to vendors.The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data entry and financial software tools.The Accounts Payable Specialist will also engage in communication with both internal locations and external vendors and assist in balancing daily, weekly, and month-end reports.Responsibilities:Purchasing of non-steel items for the facility to include, but not limited to the following:Maintenance parts and supplies Office supplies Packaging supplies Process vendor invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in specified locations within the accounting system.Maintaining inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.Review and mail customer invoices.Gathering sales and operational data and compiling reports for management.Communicate with internal locations and vendors through email and phone to resolve payment and invoice-related inquiries.Contribute to the month-end closing process by reconciling accounts payable records.Perform other duties as assigned to support the sales and operations team.Required Skills:Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.Proficiency in Excel Strong data entry skills and the ability to maintain accuracy in financial transactions.Proficiency with 10-key data entry and calculator usage.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED required.A minimum of two years of accounts payable or related experience is required, with preference given to candidates with two or more years of specific accounts payable experience.Job Type:Full-time Benefits:401(k) with matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Experience:Microsoft Excel Accounts Payable:2 years This job description outlines the responsibilities, required skills, education, and experience necessary for the Accounts Payable Specialist position.Additionally, it highlights the benefits and preferred qualifications for the role.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Ability to Commute:Osceola, AR 72370 (Required) Work Location:In person.
