Purchasing Coordinator - Pool Construction Location:Largo FloridaIndustry:Residential Pool ConstructionExperience Level:Mid-Level (Pool Industry Required) About US We are a high-volume residential pool builder in Florida, constructing 200pools per year.We're looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager who understands pool construction, can interpret designs, and can accurately calculate material needs to keep jobs moving on schedule.Position Overview The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for reviewing pool sales, performing material takeoffs, and purchasing all materials required for pool builds.This role works closely with project managers, construction teams, and vendors to ensure accurate ordering, timely deliveries, and cost control.Key Responsibilities Review pool construction plans and specifications Calculate material quantities and perform accurate takeoffs from prints Purchase all materials for pool construction (steel, plumbing, equipment, tile, decking, finishes, etc.) Coordinate material deliveries to match construction schedules Communicate with project managers and field staff to resolve material or scope issues Maintain vendor relationships and pricing Track material usage and address shortages or overages Ensure materials meet project specs, company standards, and local codes Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in the swimming pool construction industry Strong knowledge of residential pool construction methods and sequencing Ability to read and interpret pool construction plans Experience with material takeoffs and purchasing Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Preferred (Not Required) Experience with high-volume pool construction Familiarity with Florida pool suppliers and vendors Estimating or construction management background Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $50,000.00 per year Work Location:In person.
