Purchasing Manager

S&S Worldwide, Inc. the largest US manufacturer of roller coasters and thrill rides, is seeking a full-time Purchasing Manager The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services utilized by the company. This role requires strategic vendor negotiations, policy enforcement, and continuous improvement of sourcing practices to ensure cost efficiency and operational excellence. Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Management Develop and execute sourcing strategies across domestic, regional, and international markets, with an emphasis on low-cost manufacturing partners. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and manufacturing capability. Monitor global supply market conditions, logistics constraints, and supply chain risks; develop contingency and secondary sourcing plans. Vendor Management Establish and maintain strong relationships with key manufacturing vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms and reliable service levels. Manage vendor performance using KPIs, scorecards, and periodic reviews focused on cost, quality, delivery, and service. Address and resolve vendor-related issues, including quality concerns, delays and non-performance. Ensure vendor compliance with company standards, ethical sourcing practices and regulatory requirements. Purchasing Operations Develop, implement and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Review and approve purchase requisitions for proper authorization and accurate accounting codes. Establish and manage blanket purchase order
